With this easy-to-follow tutorial we will be showing you how simple it is to send your AutoCAD material to your printing machine.
Step 1: Set the line, colour and weight
Use RGB colours (as with the JobControl material database)
Step 2: Set the printer settings
Click on the printing icon and the printing window should open.
Choose plotter “My Printer” and click on “Properties…”.
Click on “Custom Properties” in the Plotter Configuration Editor.
Step 3: Set laser parameters
- Set size (the width and height should be higher than graphic size)
- Mark the field “Minimize to Jobsize” if you would like to print the graphic without blank areas.
- Click the JobControl button to print
The Plotter Configuration Editor will show up, click the “OK” button to proceed.
- Create a PC3 file to apply to this plot only: printer configuration will be saved for this print only.
- Save the changes to the following file: The printer configuration can be saved, in order to use it the next time again. Click again the “OK” button to proceed.
Step 4: The plot area settings
- Choose plot area:
- Display: The actual visible area that will get printed.
- Extents: All graphics that will get printed.
- Window: Choose the area that you want to get printed.
- Make sure plot scale is 1:1
- Center the plot if needed
- In order to send the job data to JobControl then click on the “OK” button
